To help students pay greater attention to mental health, relieve academic and daily-life pressure, and improve their interpersonal communication and emotional regulation abilities, the university organized a series of mental health-themed activities. On May 25, 2026, the School of Life Science and Medicine of Harbin Institute of Technology actively participated in the program and organized the “Voice of the Heart” interactive activity. With the theme of “listening to inner voices, sharing warmth, and growing together,” the activity focused on students’ practical needs in interpersonal relationships, academic adaptation, self-awareness, and emotional management. Through anonymous message writing, warm responses, emotional expression, and peer support, it provided students with a safe, relaxed, and inclusive platform for psychological communication.
During the activity, students anonymously wrote down their confusion, stress, worries, or emotional concerns related to interpersonal communication, academic life, personal growth, or emotional adjustment, and posted them on a dedicated message board. Other students then selected messages and wrote words of encouragement, suggestions, understanding, or support in response. Through this two-way interaction, students were able to express emotions and pass on warmth. The activity not only helped students recognize the commonality of negative emotions and interpersonal difficulties, but also guided them to think from others’ perspectives, express themselves sincerely, and respond positively, thereby enhancing their understanding of themselves and others.
This activity integrated mental health education into a relaxed and engaging campus interaction, further broadening students’ awareness of mental health. Through anonymous expression and peer responses, students felt the care and support from the campus community and strengthened their emotional adjustment ability and sense of interpersonal connection. In the future, the School of Life Science and Medicine will continue to support the university’s mental health education work, carry out diverse and meaningful psychological education activities based on students’ developmental needs, and help create a positive, warm, supportive, and harmonious campus atmosphere.
