About the Speaker

 

Professor Hou Ke is a professor and doctoral advisor at the School of Medicine and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), and a national high-level young talent (overseas). He received his Ph.D. from Peking University and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in 2019, under the supervision of Academician Tang Zhiyong and Professor Peng Hailin. From 2020 to 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, in collaboration with Academician David S. Eisenberg.

 

His primary research focuses on the use of chiral nanomaterials for precision diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. He has led multiple projects, including grants from the Alzheimer’s Association (USA), SPARK NS (USA), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientist Fund, overseas), with active research funding exceeding 50 million RMB. He has published nearly 10 high-impact papers as first author in journals such as Nature, Science Advances, Nature Communications, and J. Am. Chem. Soc., and over 30 SCI papers in total, with over 2,800 citations and an H-index of 22. He serves as a youth editorial board member for BMEMat and National Materials.
